Rodez, Eric: Empreinte de Terroir Pinot Noir 2003

Made of 100% Pinot Noir. Copper gold color. Rich nose of ripe apricot, tamarind paste, polishing wax, apple sauce, quince, brioche and a touch of cognac. [English] Made of  (approx.) 50/50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.  Pink color with orange tints and very fine bubbles. In the nose: strawberry, raspberry, citrus, leather, animal tone (goat) and wood.  The goat aroma disappears when giving the wine more air. In the attack: gooseberry followed by woodland strawberry, yeast, wood and beautiful minerality on the palate. This wine is vinous and has light tannins. Nice dry aftertaste with citric acid. Nicely balanced.  About 65 euro. [FR]

The texture is creamy. I taste apple, nutmeg, delicious creamy red fruits and something smoked. The aftertaste is long and quite alcoholic (warm

[English] Tasted in May 2011. Light golden color with fine bubbles and fine mousse in the glass. Complex aroma: salty (like mussels), bread, figs, wet stone.  After a while I smell mushroom, dried yellow fruit and some ginger. The attack in the mouth is quite mineral. I taste candied fruit: plum and pear, with a
