[English] Drunk in January 2011. Made with 100% Chardonnay. Very light yellow color with small bubbles. In the scent: lemon, minerals, toast and apple. The texture is very refreshing. The taste is not complex: citrus fruit, apple and minerals with high acidity. There is almost no aftertaste.  About 28 euro. [NL] Gedronken in januari 2011.

Piper-Heidsieck: Brut

[English] Drunk last in February 2010. Made with 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 15% Chardonnay. Straw color with small bubbles. In the scent: citrus fruits, apple, toast, brioche and some yeast. The taste is very balanced with creamy white fruit and hazelnuts.The aftertaste is full with a pleasant bitterness but still well balanced.

Thienot: Grande Cuvée A.T. 1999

[English] Made with 40% Pinot Noir and 60% Chardonnay. Lovely golden color with small refined bubbles. In the quite complex scent: brioche, buttercream, mandarin orange and spicyness. The texture is fat and the taste full bodied and buttery. I taste: mainly candied fruit (mirabel,tangerine), yeast and a little bit of cane sugar without being excessive

[English] Drunk in May 2011. Made of 100% Chardonnay. Very light color with very small bubbles. In the scent: butter toffee, orange blossom, lemon, minerals and a little bit sulphur. In the taste: lemon, unripe apple and some yeast. Not full bodied. The aftertaste is nervous and has a bitter edge. We were not impressed.

[English] Drunk in May 2011. Made of 48% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier and 47% Chardonnay. Light golden color with lots of bubbles. Complex aroma of gunpowder, sweet yeast, vanilla, anise, young cheese, a little bit sulphur and toast. When I gave the wine more air I smelled overripe apple. The taste starts (strangly enough)

Pierson-Cuvelier: Brut Prestige

[English] Drunk in april 2011. A light color with some green and quite agressive sparkle. In the scent: white flowers, citrus fruit and cheap yeast. The taste is mainly floral and reminiscent of cava. It burns in the throat. There is also an unpleasant bitterness in the aftertaste. About 22 euro. [NL] Gedronken in April
