Martinot, Françoise: Bistrotage (B10)

This wine is made of 100% Pinot Noir (2010) from Landreville of Charles Dufour his mother but vinified by Charles. No dosage.

Intense golden color with very fine bubbles and nice tears on the glass. The nose is rich, mature but also refined and noble. We smell mimolette cheese, flambéed pineapple, carob, old madeira, prunes, cognac glazed chestnuts, delicious Madeira, violets, lavender, dates, lemon, papaya and mineral overtones of wet rocks, slate. The mouthfeel is rich, full budied and still very elegant. The palate is quite retro-olfactive with the cognac flamed pineapple, carob, prunes, marrons glacées but also has tamarind, chocolate, caramel, salted and candied lemon. The acidity is polished and refined. The finish is very long with gingerbread, candied lemon and salted caramel with a long trail of citrus acidity. What a delicious wine it is! Highly recommended.
