Made of 100% Pinot Noir. Copper gold color. Rich nose of ripe apricot, tamarind paste, polishing wax, apple sauce, quince, brioche and a touch of cognac. After swirling the glass you get candied ginger, cherry, prunes, earthy tones, bramble, blackberry and a hint of sea breeze, soft woody spices and dried flowers. This is a deep, vinous wine with lots of body and concentration. On the palate you get deep Pinot Noir with blackberry, bramble berry, mushroom, raspberry, a hint of chocolate and a touch of pencil lead. The finish is long with dried berries and a Krug-like toastiness. Caraffing this wine is recommended. I prefer to drink this wine now but it can age for another decade. If you can find it, buy it!
