Castellane: Florens de Castellane 1988

[English] Made of 100% Chardonnay. Yellowgolden color with refined but turbulent effervescent. In the aroma: rice cookies, hay, quince, cheap sherry, nutmeg, butter, caramel and wood. This wine is clearly a bit oxidized. It has a fat mouthfeel to it. On the palate: pear, beechnuts, cheap sherry, yeast and mature autolytic notes. After 5 minutes

Castellane: Croix rouge

[English] Tasted in May 2010. Made of 40% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay. A light golden color with jittery bubbles that become small consistent pearls after a while. Rather complex aroma of white flowers, marmalade, melon, yeast and petrol. I taste mainly quince with a hint of vanilla, a bit of toasted
