Philipponnat: 1522 Rosé vintage 2003

[English] Made of  (approx.) 50/50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.  Pink color with orange tints and very fine bubbles. In the nose: strawberry, raspberry, citrus, leather, animal tone (goat) and wood.  The goat aroma disappears when giving the wine more air. In the attack: gooseberry followed by woodland strawberry, yeast, wood and beautiful minerality on the palate. This wine is vinous and has light tannins. Nice dry aftertaste with citric acid. Nicely balanced.  About 65 euro. [FR]

After a while in the glass, pear and apricot came forward. The attack is fresh and mineral but tight. In the very focussed taste
